A new word or phrase pops up into my vision and begs to be embroidered onto a doily. It's an obsession. I love finding the doilies, sorting through my cache of beautiful lacy linens. Each word or phrase requires just the right size doily. I have a few new word doilies and have revisited some earlier pieces. I'm playing with watercolor backgrounds to set-off the textures of the fabric. You can take a look here on the recently updated artwork section "Wordplay"
